We’ve got lucky this spring, we had no warm spells in the late Iowan winter which could ruin magnolia blossoms by the following drop of temperatures.

During our forced Corona confinement I have plenty of time to practice/study the entangled mess of delicate spider like petals of star magnolia flowers. More paintings will be coming.

Years ago I planted tens of the trees around our property, all different variety. Star magnolia is to blossom first, then Jane, and the Saucer one will follow.
